Welcome to Greater Seattle's Hottest Big Band
The Big Band Era
Route 66 plays Swing Music, which was the popular music of the 1930s-1950s. From Benny Goodman to Duke Ellington, Harry James to Glenn Miller, the Route 66 Big Band performs the music of the "Greatest Generation" that's fun to both listen and dance to. It's Happy and Entertaining Music!
Our 17 piece Big Band showcases our full sections of' saxophones, trombones, & trumpets, with a rhythm section composed of piano, drums, and bass as well as a vocalist.
This is the music we love to play and you love to listen to, mostly swing standards from the 30s, 40s, and 50s (and some surprises too!).
ROUTE 66 has an extensive library. The songs listed on The Music Page are examples of the tunes we play. However, they may or may not be currently in our working 'book' so if you want to hear particular tunes, just let us know!
With the classic White Tux formal attire and a well rehearsed band, Route 66 is ready to make your day memorable. From Swing to Tango to Waltz, the depth of our music library is one few bands can match.
